Welcome
to my gallery of landscape photographs. I'm Sam Cox. I consider myself
an underpaid professional backpacker. If finding the perfect flat-ground
tent site in the wilderness were a sport, I'd be Champion of the Universe.
I can draw every internal part of my camp stove by memory. I can set up
my tent in less than 2 minutes. I have out-hiked llama trains. On every
trip I take, I carry my camera, and I take lots of photos. I've backpacked
hundreds of miles and camped in hundreds of locations around the US over
the last decade and it never grows old. There's just no place I'd rather
be.
Explore parts of America
you've never seen by clicking on a state in the column to the left, then
clicking on any one of the thumbnail images. Most images are from Colorado
and Wyoming, since these are the states I've been hanging my hat in for
the last 10 years. If you find yourself taken with a particular image,
you're in luck, because I sell them at cost + about enough to buy a freeze-dried
backpacking dinner. Minimum 10% of proceeds go to my favorite non-profit
environmental
advocacy groups. On the Outdoor Recreation Page you'll find dozens
of illustrated essays from my adventures around the country. Drop me a
line and let me know what you think. Enjoy. |
