Delicate Arch
A short hike
to Delicate Arch rewards with the most dramatic vista in all of
Arches National
Park. This singularly specactular arch is the hallmark of the
park, as well
as the state of Utah, as it is featured on every Utah license plate.
I shared this
wonderful October sunset with about 50 other hikers lined up like
a firing line
with cameras and photo cell phones. All were impressed at the way
the rock blazed
red as the sun sank below the horizon. The brilliant color lasted
but a moment,
and then was gone.
